With that I mean, to see if she has any means to take her own life to make sure she maintains her silence. I can think of anything to ease your pain more than -they haven't succeeded yet, and I'm still here. It was more fear than desperation that drove him. We believe whoever paid would have taken worse retaliations than us for failing.
